The Black Sesame Crème Pâtissière Cotton Cake consists of four soft, light, and fluffy black sesame cotton sponges and three layers of black sesame Crème Pâtissière (Pastry Cream); covered with black sesame powder mixed with Chantilly cream (sweeten whipped cream) and topped with three seasonal fresh fruit. We use premium black sesame powder.

What is a Cotton sponge cake?

Cotton sponge cake is commonly sold in Asian cake shops, it has less sugar and dairy (no butter) and is much lighter than other regular sponge cakes. The cake is baked in a water bath for one and a half hour to produce a much more soft and moist sponge.
